Season 1 EP 1

Whispering Isle

Lineage has unfolded a vast fantasy world, showcasing diverse regions, monsters, and captivating stories through its updates spanning from Episode 1 to Episode 12 of Season 1.

In September 1998, Lineage commenced its official service.

Season 1 "The Blood Pledge"

The first episode of Season 1, titled "The Blood Pledge," introduced the region of Whispering Isle, which serves as the initial destination for beginners. Whispering Isle is significant as it is where Deforge, the main protagonist of the original Lineage and the sole survivor of the royal family tragedy, resides.

The first server "Deforge"

With the launch of the service, the first Lineage server named "Deforge" was opened. The name of this server is derived from the main protagonist of the Lineage series, which is based on the original romantic comics.

At the Whispering Isle dock, Kurtz, the boss monster, would frequently appear alongside several Black Knights to chase after Deforge.

Season 1 EP 2

Gludio

In Episode 2, the first territory of the Aden Continent, Gludio, was unveiled.

Gludio is the first mainland territory that can be reached by boat from the Whispering Isle, a port city where adventurers from various backgrounds interact.

The Death Knight featured in the poster is an iconic monster in the Lineage series and the most formidable monster representing the Gludio Dungeon at that time.

Kent Castle

With the addition of castles in the field for the first time, the "Siege" system, known as the pinnacle of Lineage, was introduced. Siege is a game system introduced by Lineage as the world's first. It is a large-scale battle in the form of alliances, where players compete to capture the in-game throne.

Many clans participated in the Siege because there are numerous benefits, such as the special privilege to adjust and collect taxes, given to the Alliance that captures a castle.

Strongest fortress in Aden

The Kent Castle, where endless battles took place, was renowned as the strongest fortress in Aden. There is a record that numerous mercenaries of Aden endured for 100 days to protect the honor of Kent Castle when the antagonist Ken Rauhel arrived to conquer it.

Season 1 EP 4

Mystery of Magic

With the introduction of the fourth class, the "Magician," Lineage surpassed 10,000 concurrent players.

As the Magicians expanded their influence centered around the Ivory Tower and grew stronger, they became targets of Ken Rauhel. Ultimately, they were left with no choice but to become traitors by following the Dark Magician Cerenis or face death.

Elven Forest

Afterwards, the exclusive village for the race, Elven Forest, was introduced for the first time.

Elves are born by infusing the spirit of water into the Mother Tree, also known as the primordial tree. Despite possessing formidable strength, these elves resided peacefully within their own territory until they were drawn into the war due to the conflicts humans, orcs, and monsters.

With the establishment of the Elven Village, the gathering and crafting systems were introduced, allowing players to earn Adena by utilizing these systems.

Season 1 EP 6

Windawood

A new region centered around the desert, Windawood, was revealed.

Various monsters suitable for the desert region, such as ants, basilisks, and sandworms, were added.

Windawood, a bastion established in the heart of the desert, has long been the domain of noble knights who have upheld the principles of honor through generations. The Gludio Village, the starting point of the Aden Continent, is located within Windawood.

Season 1 EP 7

Dragon Valley

In the "Dragon Valley" episode, Antharas, the Land Dragon, makes an appearance.
This update, highlighting the presence of a rare and unforgettable giant monster, propelled Lineage to surpass a milestone of 100,000 concurrent players.

The Dragon Valley was originally the lair of Antharas. Unaware of this fact, the dwarves, blinded by treasure, began to set foot in this place, oblivious to the gigantic dragon's shadow looming behind them.

Season 1 EP 8

Giran

In Episode 8, the Giran region, the largest city in Lineage, was updated.

Giran Castle, with its thriving business district, has been embroiled in a never-ending war for control due to powerful individuals who have sought wealth and power for generations.

Even today, this place, which continues to attract countless heroes visiting Aden, is virtually regarded as the capital. With its grand and expansive layout that can easily lead one to lose their way, it provides a plethora of attractions and entertainment venues, including guild halls and a Colosseum.

Heine

Episode 9 introduced an update featuring Heine, the city of water.

Heine, once a water-bound city, is adorned with sculptures of Eva, the goddess of water, and the leaders of her devotees.

This underwater city, formerly known as the Kingdom of Eva, has transformed into a haven for monsters following its devastation due to the conflict between Eva and the Water Dragon, Fafurion.

Season 1 EP 10

Fire Dragon's Nest

Alongside the Fire Dragon's Lair, the third dragon, Valakas, made its appearance in Lineage. Valakas is the mightiest Fire Dragon among the four dragons that battled the Undead in the Genesis.

The underground castle, situated beneath the Fire Dragon's lair where Valakas' power etched a trail of flames, is the stronghold of the dwarves. Led by Vyrdrome, the chief of the Iron Gate Guild, this stronghold takes the form of a massive forge.

Season 1 EP 11

Oren

In Episode 11, the magic city of Oren, the Ivory Tower Dungeon, and the Ice Crystal Cavern were introduced.

The figure depicted in the poster is the Ice Queen of the Ice Crystal Cavern. Following her father's demise in the preceding conquest of Valakas, she has been driven by a thirst for revenge, aiming to consign Valakas to eternal slumber.

She froze her own body with frost magic to confront Valakas. As a result, the Oren region has transformed into a land of snow and ice.

Season 1 EP 12

Aden

In Episode 12, the town of Aden and Aden Castle were updated.

Aden Castle, considered one of the most exquisite creations of mankind, is renowned not only for its grandeur but also for the artistic value of the sacred architecture within it, the Aden Cathedral.

It bears a significant mark, a massive scar attributed to Lindvior, which is believed to have been caused by the dragon's jealousy, a testament to its extraordinary beauty.

Season 1 concludes its narrative with a grand siege between the evil King Ken Rauhel and Deforge, as depicted in the poster. Additionally, it introduced new challenges such as the Tower of Insolence, and the appearance of Lindvior, the Wind Dragon, offering fresh trials for players.

Season 2

The Cross Rancor

In Season 2, featuring the Dark Elves and presenting a unique storyline different from the original, viewers can explore intriguing stories for each episode and a wide range of artwork connected to the narrative.

As a child, Prince Deforge fled from the rebellion caused by Ken Rauhel and eventually claimed victory in the final battle against him.

After his defeat in the war, Ken Rauhel sought the aid of the Dark Elves, who had been living in the shadows. As a new force emerges in the midst of the conflict between the two factions, the story takes on a new transformation.

Season 2 EP 1

Light and Shadow

The new class introduced in Episode 1 of Season 2, the Dark Elves, primarily utilizes dual blades or claws for fast, close-range attacks, and can deal critical damage at a certain chance.

The Dark Elves were originally Elves who were marginalized due to their dark skin color. They left the Elven Forest and chose to serve Grankain instead of Einhasad. They adopted the name "Dark Elves" for themselves, signifying the Elves of the Shadows.

Season 2 EP 2

Heaven and the Earth

The background for Episode 2 of Season 2 begins with the emergence of an underground invasion route in the Aden Continent. Subsequently, Gludin Village is transformed into ruins due to the attack by the Dark Elves.

"Help me unleash the iron mace of vengeance upon those who have banished me to this place."

Ken Rauhel sought out Dantes, the leader of the Dark Elves, in Lastavard.

Longing to rise again on the surface, Dantes mobilized the Lastavardian army and launched an attack on Deforge's camp.

Season 2 EP 3

Life and Death

In Episode 3, the areas belonging to the Dark Elves, such as Fort Dyad and the Underground Grand Cavern, was expanded.

The character featured on the poster is Demon Beast Lord Varanka, one of the four Beast Lords.

The Lords of each territory formed an alliance and began to counterattack against the Lastavard forces. Vladika from the Dark Elves, who realized that they were on the wrong path, aided the alliance, allowing them to advance to Fort Dyad.

Season 2 EP 4

History and Memory

In Episode 4, various regions such as the Demonic Temple and Pirate Island were updated.

Upon talking with the assistant explorer in the Pirate Island village, players gain access to a hunting zone known as the Ship Graveyard.

A temple created by the Demon Race called "Corruption" to worship its master, the Nocturnal Ember.

Season 2 EP 5

The Lastavard:
The Tower of Chaos

Lastavard Castle and the Tower of Chaos were introduced. The poster showcases the main characters of Episode 5, Vladika and his rival, Helbain.

The alliance and Vladika have arrived at Lastavard after a challenging journey. The battle against Helbain, who blocks their path, has now begun.

Season 2 EP 6

The Lastavard: Inevitable Destiny

In Episode 6, the Divine Emperor's Blade of Execution, the symbol of Lineage, made its first appearance.

The protagonist in the poster is Dantes, the Divine Emperor and the owner of the Blade of Execution. When the alliance advanced to the entrance of Lastavard, Dantes succumbed to the demon's deception and decided to seek the power of the Otherworld.

Slaiv, who served as Dantes' aide, reluctantly fought against his friend Vladika in order to protect Lastavard.

The alliance also made great efforts to prevent the summoning ritual of the Otherworld.

However, it was too late to prevent the ritual, and as a result, they ended up summoning Giltas, the ruler of the Otherworld.

Season 3 EP 1

Crack of Time

From Season 3 to the current Lineage Remastered, Lineage has been continuously expanding and improving its content.

In Season 3, the Illusionist and Dragon Knight were introduced.

The Illusionist, a revered member of the Demon Race, possesses magic that can dominate their enemies. They wield a unique weapon called the "Kyllink," which is imbued with mystical powers.

The Dragon Knights, descendants of Aurakia, are a race that combines primal instincts and human rationality. When they are awakened, they are capable of harnessing the concealed power of dragons.

With the opening of the gateway to the Otherworld, a rift in time emerged. The Demon and Dragon Races migrated to Aden.
Using their advanced techniques, the Demons created floating islands, hindering human access while enabling them to move freely to desired locations.

The Dragon Race returned to the lair of the Fire Dragon, their ancestral home. Despite the lair having been turned into a den of monsters, they erected barriers and created a new territory.
Season 3 EP 2

Clash of the Wind

In Episode 2, several updates were implemented to offer a wider range of engaging experiences with exciting new changes.

In particular, the abilities or traits of each class were recalibrated to improve user convenience and enhance overall gameplay experience.

Season 3 EP 3

The Resurrection of the Ruler

In Episode 3, Lineage undertook a major revamp of the most formidable boss monster in its history, Giltas.

During his attempt to cross into the Aden Continent via the Otherworld's portal, Giltas found himself ensnared when the summoning ritual failed. This mishap left only his upper body protruding from the boundary, preventing him from fully emerging.

Season 3 EP 4

8th Class, Warrior

The Warrior, the eighth class in Lineage, is a brand-new class that emerged after a staggering six-year gap since the updates to the Illusionists and Dragon Knights.

They possess formidable durability and deliver swift and potent attacks. Their main weapon is the axe, but they are also capable of wielding spears.

Season 4

The Gate of Resurrection

Season 4 is a regular episode that was unveiled after a seven-year gap following the crack of time in Season 3. The first episode, titled "The Forgotten Island: Prelude to Grand Fate," sets the stage for the grand narrative.
This update features significant enhancements, including the revitalization of various regions and a balance patch.

Episode 1 follows the story of Darkness Dragon Halpas, who was imprisoned long ago. Halpas escapes from captivity and enters the world, forming a forbidden contract with the evil king, Ken Rauhel, as they embark on a quest to find the Tree of Life.

Season 5 EP 1

Phantom Fencer

In March 2019, Lineage Remastered was released.
This update brought several enhancements, including improved graphics at Full HD resolution, the addition of an auto-hunt feature, the introduction of new classes, and the inclusion of large-scale sieges.

Following the launch of Lineage Remastered, a new class known as the Fencer was unveiled. Fencers have the ability to utilize the majority of knight's equipment, but they also possess distinctive abilities that are only active when wielding a one-handed sword.

Season 5 EP 2

Lancer

Lancer, the tenth class in Lineage, is a versatile class that excels in both close-range and long-range combat through the effective utilization of spears.

"Uprising the Spear of Faith."

The Lancer, formerly an esteemed knight of the Golden Castle, had quietly withdrawn into a life of solitude after retirement. Yet, upon receiving a call to arms from Deforge, the Lancer was compelled to return to the fray once more.

Season 5 EP 3

22nd Anniversary

In celebration of its 22nd anniversary, Lineage introduced the "Town of Rune" as a captivating new addition to the game's world.

Located in the northeastern part of the Oren region, the Town of Rune has a rich history. Once a thriving mining site teeming with abundant ores and precious gems, it faced a tragic turn of events when Elmore launched an invasion. In fear and desperation, the town's inhabitants sought refuge in the depths of the mine.

Unfortunately, the minerals unearthed in those depths were infused with darkness, gradually corrupting the local inhabitants. They turned against adventurers who dared to explore the region, resulting in the transformation of their once vibrant home into a desolate place known as the Cursed Mine.
