NCSOFT today unveiled the teaser site and the official brand identity for its new upcoming switching RPG, ‘Hoyeon.’

Formerly known as ‘Project BSS,’ NCSOFT has announced the official title ‘Hoyeon’ for its upcoming switching RPG, scheduled for release in the second half of 2024. The name ‘Hoyeon’ draws inspiration from the protagonist Yuseol’s family name, Hoyeonmoon, reflecting the family’s profound commitment to honoring connections. It also underscores the significance of the bonds formed with various heroes throughout Yuseol’s journey.

Set three years before PC MMORPG ‘Blade & Soul,’ Hoyeon explores Yuseol’s quest to restore her family. Players will delve into the backgrounds of Hoyeon’s unique heroes and encounter characters from the original game.

Hoyeon seamlessly blends real-time field battles with turn-based deck combat, defining a new genre as ‘switching RPG.’ With a focus on strategic deck composition and real-time battlefield control, players can explore the distinctive traits of each hero through turn-based combat. The game also features enjoyable elements of collectible RPG gameplay.

On the teaser site, NCSOFT has revealed snapshots of the game’s universe, dynamic combat features, and diverse playable characters. Players can discover a varied roster of over 60 unique and captivating characters, spanning from boys and girls to monsters and beastkins. Emojis and live wallpapers are also available to download to celebrate the game’s debut on the teaser site.
