    NCSOFT’s Lineage2M Set to Launch in Six Southeast Asian Countries on May 20

    Joint Venture NCV GAMES to oversee regional publishing, enabling players across six countries to connect on a unified server

    Localization as the primary focus, with five language options available, improved gameplay systems, and clan-centric content

    NCSOFT has announced that its flagship MMORPG, Lineage2M, will officially launch in six Southeast Asian countries on May 20.

    At a launch showcase held on March 29 in Bangkok, Thailand, NCSOFT and its regional partner, VNGGames, revealed the official launch date. The Southeast Asian service will be managed by NCV GAMES, a joint venture between the two companies.

    Lineage2M will be available in Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines, with players across these regions connecting on a single, unified server. The game will be accessible on both mobile devices and NCSOFT’s gaming platform, PURPLE.

    NCV GAMES has prioritized localization to enhance the gaming experience for Southeast Asian players. Lineage2M will support five languages—English, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, and Simplified Chinese. Several system adjustments have been made to reduce player strain and create a more balanced gaming environment, including the increased availability of in-game items through gameplay. Additionally, NCV GAMES will introduce various initiatives to further strengthen the clan system, such as the ‘Clan Support Program’.

    Building on NCSOFT’s experience operating Lineage2M in Korea, Taiwan, Japan, North America, and Europe, along with player feedback, NCV GAMES has also implemented various key gameplay refinements to offer a more enjoyable and user-friendly experience for Southeast Asian players.
