PANGYO, Korea (March 27, 2024) – NCSOFT today announced its collaboration with Google Cloud, underscoring a joint commitment to advancing AI, cloud, and productivity initiatives.
On March 26 (Pacific Daylight Time), Taekjin Kim, CEO of NCSOFT, and Mark Lohmeyer, Vice President and General Manager of Compute & ML Infrastructure at Google Cloud, alongside other executives representing areas of collaboration, convened at Google headquarters in Mountain View, CA.
The two companies engaged in an in-depth discussion to broaden their global collaboration in the fields of cloud and AI. They also established a collaboration model spanning mid- to long-term objectives in AI, cloud, and productivity.
Specifically, the collaboration scope includes:
* Integrating AI technology throughout the entire game development to deliver a new type of gaming experience.
* Utilizing Google Cloud services for data analysis for game development and operation, as well as optimizing live operations.
* Adopting ‘Gemini for Google Workspace’ to enhance overall company productivity.
Both companies will further explore and expand the potential areas of collaboration in global business initiatives.
Building on this collaboration, NCSOFT will advance its AI language model, ‘VARCO,’ utilizing Google Cloud’s ‘Vertex AI’ that offers access to Gemini and Gemma.
