NCSOFT today announced its annual financial results for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2024.
NCSOFT’s full-year consolidated revenue for 2024 totaled KRW 1.58 trillion, reflecting an 11% YoY decline. The company recorded an operating loss of KRW 109.2 billion, transitioning to a deficit largely due to one-time severance expenses and increased marketing costs for new game launches. Net income stood at KRW 94.1 billion with a 56% YoY decline, impacted by operating losses.
By region, annual sales were KRW 1.03 trillion in Korea, KRW 227.5 billion in Asia, and KRW 134.2 billion in North America & Europe. Royalty sales rose 26% YoY to KRW 182 billion, driven by the global success of THRONE AND LIBERTY. Combined overseas and royalty sales accounted for 34% of total revenue.
By platform, mobile game sales reached KRW 936.7 billion, while PC online game sales totaled KRW 351.8 billion.
In the fourth quarter, revenue reached KRW 409.4 billion, up 2% QoQ. The company recorded an operating loss of KRW 129.5 billion and a net loss of KRW 7.6 billion. PC online game sales reached KRW 93.4 billion, marking the highest quarterly sales in two years. Blade & Soul sales more than quadrupled QoQ, driven by the successful launch of its BNS NEO server, while Guild Wars 2 grew 30% QoQ fueled by expansion pack sales.
