In its latest Producer’s Letter, TL lays out a strategic roadmap with significant improvement in five core areas.
Prioritizing the user feedback, the focus is on the progression system, UI visibility, and cooperative content.
Producer Jongok Ahn reaffirms, “We will stay dedicated to listening to player preferences and feedback, proactively addressing them in our ongoing updates.”
NCSOFT, a global premier developer and publisher, revealed a comprehensive update plan for its latest MMORPG, THRONE AND LIBERTY (TL), in direct response to user feedback.
In its sixth Producer’s Letter, Jongok Ahn, lead producer of TL, provided a detailed overview of the update plans with key features, including:
Reduced stress in the character progression phase
Enhanced UI visibility
Reorganized event schedule
Improved cooperative dungeon content
Refined party play
These sought-after improvements have been requested since launch, many of which have already been implemented as part of today’s update. The rest will be gradually introduced, demonstrating TL’s commitment to ongoing improvement of the game.
TL adds EXP to ‘Contract Reward,’ aiming to alleviate the challenges associated with character progression. The game will also lower the difficulty level of ‘Exploration Codex,’ enhancing players’ enjoyment of exploring the TL world, and will ease restrictions on activities limited to specific environments. To intensify the thrill of field hunting, TL will increase the item drop rates when defeating monsters.
NCSOFT improves TL’s UI visibility to provide players with a more informative gameplay experience, fostering a better understanding of in-game elements. The enhancements include:
Implementing markers for guided quests and codices
Enhancing the visibility of character name tags and enemy damage
Displaying individual character’s contribution in defeating field bosses
TL revised and adopted changes in the frequency and timing of regional events and field boss appearances, prioritizing a more relaxed gaming experience for players. Plans also included content adjustments catering for characters at Level 30 or above, promising increased rewards and shorter clear times for cooperative dungeons. Concurrently, a more advanced matching system for party play is in development, streamlining connections for players looking to join forces at ease.
Producer Ahn said, “While we have been actively addressing various issues since the launch, we are well aware that our efforts may not entirely meet the needs of our users.” He further emphasized, “We will stay dedicated to listening to player preferences and feedback, proactively addressing them in our ongoing updates, and filling in any gaps with our sincere efforts.”
