The Beginning
of Aion's Worldview
As a result of a lengthy war, the Tower of Eternity, Aion, was split, and the world was plunged into Cataclysm.
In the aftermath, the Balaur was expelled outside the barrier, and Atreia was divided into Elysea and Asmodae.
Thus, the Elyos settled in Elysea, which is the lower part of Atreia, and the Asmodians in the upper level, Asmodae.
Visuals of the Elyos and Asmodians
The two factions were separated for a long time, so established independent cultures, and their appearances, buildings, etc. changed into different forms.
The Elyos, living in a light-rich environment of the Tower of Eternity,
had bright, warm skin tones and slim, slender physique of the original Atreians.
On the other hand, the Asmodians adapted to a harsh environment with little light.
Their nails became pointed, a mane formed on their backs, and their eyes glowed red during combat.
The below image shows the early designs of the Elyos and Asmodians, with the character's face design and chain, leather, cloth armor.
The Abyss
of the Beyond
The previously isolated Elysea and Asmodae became connected through the Abyss,
leading them to an unavoidable war for the first time in a millennium.
