Enhanced Spacetime Rift experience with shorter cycles and expanded capacity
Quality-of-life improvements for smoother gameplay, plus adjustments to Abyss, Deity stats, and major content
December 10 update preview revealed, introducing a unified auction house and improved visibility in large-scale battles
NCSOFT today announced a new update for its new MMORPG, AION 2, delivering a series of improvements shaped by player feedback.
The update introduces significant enhancements to PvP content, including the Spacetime Rift, as well as adjustments to the Deity stat system, class updates, and balancing for PvE content such as the Sealed Dungeon and Conquest Expedition.
Responding to community requests, AION 2 adds a PvP On/Off feature through the new War Mode. Players can now chow whether to engage in PvP engagement, offering greater flexibility for Spacetime Rift gameplay. The mode can be toggled only within faction territories and includes a 70-minute cooldown.
The Spacetime Rift is receiving multiple improvements. Its cycle has been shortened from four hours to three, and rift entry capacity has doubled from 200 to 400, allowing more adventurers to join the action.
Deity stats previously placed in Abyss Monoliths will now move to regional Monoliths. Abyss Monolith stats will provide additional PvP attributes, and the criteria for earning Abyss Points—a key in-game resource—are being refined for better balance.
Elementalist class players will see improved skill usability and combat mechanics. Resistance to status effects is being increased for all ranged classes, and select skills are receiving performance adjustments.
During a live broadcast on December 2, the development team previewed highly anticipated features arriving December 10, including a unified auction house and major visibility upgrades for large-scale battles.
