NCSOFT today announced that its MMORPG AION 2 has introduced a new Transcendence dungeon, Sunken Temple of Life, alongside special events commemorating 100 days since the game’s official launch.

The latest update features the Transcendence dungeon Sunken Temple of Life, the new Arcana part Scales, two new Arcana set effects, 100-day anniversary events, and further refinements to Abyss content.

Sunken Temple of Life, the first Transcendence content of Season 2, is a deep-sea-themed dungeon where the boss monster Sunken Emon awaits adventurers. Entry requires a minimum item level of 3,000, with higher difficulty tiers requiring progressively higher item levels.

The new Arcana part Scales and two Arcana set effects—Frenzy and Pure Blood—are now available. Scales can be crafted exclusively using Harmonious Crystal, a material obtained from Sunken Temple of Life. The Frenzy set effect increases boss damage amplification by 5%, while Pure Blood boosts Critical Damage Boost by 5%. Both can be further enhanced using Mysterious Crystal.

To mark the game’s 100th day since launch, players can participate in special anniversary events beginning February 25. Logging in during the event period grants exclusive cosmetics, including the 100th Day Anniversary T-shirt (Cosmetic: Breastplate) and the 100th Day Anniversary Cake (Cosmetic: Helmet). A login-based attendance event also provides access to bound items such as Battle Enhance Scroll and Soul Codex: Reset. Starting at midnight on February 26, players can also redeem the limited-time coupon code <AION2DAYS100> to receive additional rewards.

In response to player feedback, NCSOFT has introduced further improvements to Abyss updates. The third-round Elyos–Asmodians server matching adjustments aim to enhance overall balance across servers. PvP ranking point loss has been reduced to encourage broader Abyss participation. It also revealed Abyss of Chaos, a new matching format that allows faction-independent battles such as Elyos vs. Elyos and Asmodians vs. Asmodians, further diversifying Abyss combat experiences.

All server creation restrictions have now been lifted, and NCSOFT has issued the appreciation coupon <WELCOMEBACK>, which grants items including the Urugugu Weapon +10 Selection Chest (Bound) and the Vakron Armor +10 Selection Chest (Bound).

Additionally, the new Sanctum of Erosion dungeon—Season 2’s Sanctuary content and the most challenging PvE experience in AION 2 to date—is scheduled to launch on March 11.
