NCSOFT today announced that its MMORPG AION 2 has introduced the new Sanctuary dungeon, Corroded Decontamination Facility, alongside a White Day-themed event.

The Corroded Decontamination Facility is the most challenging PvE dungeon currently available in AION 2. Set within a ruined Balaur base—contaminated by experimental waste and abandoned test subjects—the dungeon culminates in a battle against the final boss, Terminator Bargott. Players who clear the dungeon can earn Hero- and Unique-grade items, including weapons and bracelets. Entry requires a minimum level of 3,700.

To celebrate White Day, NCSOFT is also hosting a special event in which players can craft various buff items through the Substance Morph merchant NPC. Available items include White Dessert (Bound), Lovely Lollipop (Bound), Pink Tailwind Scroll (Bound), and Pink Speed Scroll (Bound). On March 14, special event buff items will also be delivered to all players via in-game mail.

Several quality-of-life improvements aimed at improving faction balance have also been introduced. Starting March 11, players can form PvE parties across factions, allowing Elyos and Asmodians characters to cooperate in dungeon and party play. Limited cross-faction communication will also be enabled in these settings. Additionally, a fourth round of server matching will be rolled out to promote more balanced Abyss gameplay.

NCSOFT further announced plans to introduce a Combat Power display system in March. In addition to item level, players will be able to check their character’s overall Combat Power value. A new feature tentatively titled Combat Analysis will also allow players to measure their character’s DPS (Damage Per Second).

To maintain a stable in-game economy, AION 2 will separate Regular Kina and Bound Kina. Regular Kina can be used in the Market, World Market, and Kina Chest obtained through Substance Morph. The update will also introduce an automatic equipment Extract function within the cube (inventory) system for improved convenience.
