NC today announced the launch of its Season 3 update for AION 2, introducing new content alongside expanded character growth support features.

The Season 3 update focuses on delivering new PvE content while significantly enhancing character growth boosting benefits.

Starting today, players can explore the new Expedition dungeon Hall of Illusion. Upon clearing the dungeon, players can obtain Fragment: Yustiel’s Trace, a material used for the Daevanion Yustiel, which increases Attack and Defense, along with Hero- and Unique-grade equipment. The minimum item level required to enter the dungeon is 3,000. In addition, seven new Nightmare bosses, including Tyrant Tassin, have been introduced.

To reduce gameplay fatigue, NC has implemented several system adjustments aligned with the new season. The Raid content has been removed, and pet-related Genus Insight experience requirements have been eased. Additional improvements include adjusted spawn intervals for Shugo Festa and Dimensional Invasion, the addition of Instant Clear Ticket: Nightmare, Transfer crafting, and Pantheon presets to support a smoother gameplay experience.

Beginning in Season 3, ranking criteria for certain seasonal content—including Transcendence and the Abyss—have been shifted to a class-based system. Season rewards have also been redesigned to focus on prestige-oriented items rather than stat progression.

To celebrate the spring season, new Skins have been added to the in-game shop, including Athleisure Leggings, Magical Heart Suit, and Fluffy Chick Hoodie. The update also introduces three new mounts and two new wings. Additionally, three newly released Deva Passes provide items that support character growth.

NC has significantly expanded character growth boosting benefits for Season 3. The new boosting pass, Warm Welcome, available after the April 8 maintenance, grants various items to support early progression, including Kina (Bound), Enhance Stone (Bound), Resurrection Spiritstone (Bound), and Daevanion Crystal. The Shugo’s Growth Support Ticket system further assists progression by providing key equipment such as weapons, accessories, and Arcana.

To commemorate Season 3, AION 2 is also offering a special coupon. Players who enter the code AION2SEASON3 will receive items including Odyle Energy (Bound), Expedition/Transcendence Challenge Ticket Selection Chest (Bound), Daily Dungeon Instant Completion Ticket (Bound) (TBD), and Battle Enhance Scroll (Bound).
