NC today announced that its MMORPG AION 2 will launch a new Transcendence dungeon, Mirror of Scarlet Desire, alongside a range of system updates.

The update introduces Mirror of Scarlet Desire, three new Arcana set effects, expanded Arcana Crystal extraction options, enhanced dungeon rewards, a new daily dungeon, and various quality-of-life improvements.

Mirror of Scarlet Desire is a Transcendence dungeon set within a fantastical space born from love within the shattered fragments of Kromede. The minimum item level required to enter is 3,200, with the level cap increasing at higher difficulty tiers.

Three new Arcana sets—Punishing Overture, Protected Soul, and Indomitable Dedication—have been added, along with expanded Arcana extraction options. The Punishing Overture set effect increases Boss Damage Tolerance by 5%, Protected Soul increases Restoration by 5%, and Indomitable Dedication increases Weapon Damage Tolerance by 5%.

The new Arcana sets can be crafted using Noble Crystal (Bound), obtained by clearing Mirror of Scarlet Desire. Players can extract Season 1 and Season 2 Arcana to obtain Mysterious Crystal (Bound), and Season 3 Arcana to obtain Noble Crystal (Bound).

NC has also expanded weekly rewards for dungeon content in AION 2. Weekly reward limits for Expedition content have increased from 14 to 21, while Transcendence content rewards have increased from 7 to 14. Kina rewards have also been enhanced for Tier 4 Expedition content, including Dying Dramata’s nest, and Tier 5 Expedition content, including Hall of Illusion.

A new daily dungeon, Crobahki's Secret Depository, has also been added. Players have up to 40 seconds to avoid bombs and collect coins, earning Kina as a reward.

Additional quality-of-life updates include an expanded dungeon invite list, a revamped Wind Breeze Merchants shop lineup, a boss rear-indicator display, seven new Markers, and a new HUD preset feature.

During a livestream held on May 12, the AION 2 development team also previewed upcoming content updates, including the new Sanctuary, Musphel’s Goblet, scheduled for release on May 27.

NC will host the AION 2 Showcase on June 14 in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Players can apply through the official AION 2 website until May 25. A total of 150 players will be selected through a lottery. Winners will be announced on June 1.
