COLOGNE, GERMANY – August 25, 2026 – NC (formerly NCSOFT) simultaneously unveiled three new trailers at 'Opening Night Live' (ONL) held on the eve of gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, the world’s largest gaming event, to a global audience.

Announcing AION 2’s official release date of Monday, October 5, NC showcased epic boss battles and stunning aerial vistas in its upcoming open-world MMORPG.

Developer BigFire Games’ CINDER CITY trailer depicted a 21st-century world unraveling into destruction from the unique perspectives of its characters.

And finally, the NC development team behind Like or Die (previously known as Project Bonfire), debuted its new team-based survival first-person shooter (FPS) in which players become streamers and cooperate with teammates to compete for survival to be the last team standing.

AION 2 RAMPS UP WITH LAUNCH SCALE TEST, EARLY ACCESS
    NC’s
AION 2 team is ramping up with a series of milestones leading toward its newly revealed Monday, October 5 release date on PC (Steam and PURPLE) in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

Before launch, NC will conduct a 'Launch Scale Test' (see Steam page to apply) Thursday and Friday, September 17-18, building an environment similar to the actual service to check server and infrastructure stability, while also giving users the opportunity to experience the game before its official launch.

NC will then give players who have signed up for the Founder’s Pack five days of Early Access gameplay from September 30 to October 4, before the official launch October 5. Players can still sign up for the Founder’s Pack here.

    CINDER CITY’S DYSTOPIAN SEOUL
Developer BigFire Games wowed ONL viewers with a new cinematic trailer capturing the post-apocalyptic world of dystopian Seoul, Korea. Told from the viewpoint of its distinctly different characters,
CINDER CITY’s trailer interweaves perspectives depicting a 21st-century world falling into destruction after a brutal alien invasion.

Following a successful US-based Pre-Alpha PlayTest held from August 14 to 16, the CINDER CITY team has accelerated development with the goal of providing a high-quality global service.

LIKE OR DIE MAKES ITS DEBUT
Adding to its cluster of intense fast-paced shooters, NC debuted the innovative new title,
Like or Die, previously known as Project Bonfire, to its growing portfolio of games.

Like or Die is a next-generation team-based survival FPS currently being developed by NC. Set on 'Quaya Stream', a cosmic streaming platform, players take on the role of streamers competing for survival. With countless viewers tuned in to the live broadcast, players battle alongside their teammates to be the last ones standing.

The trailer also revealed key gameplay for the first time, including block-based combat that lets players reshape the battlefield, and the destruction of the enemy team's Nexus — combining strategic team play with fast-paced action. A second trailer offering a first look at the game's lore is now live on the official YouTube channel. Wishlist Like or Die on Steam here!
