NCSOFT today announced that its new switching RPG ‘HOYEON’ will launch simultaneously in Korea, Japan, and Taiwan on August 28.
During the online showcase, ‘PLAY DAY,’ NCSOFT unveiled gameplay footage and service plans for HOYEON. Executive Producer Captain Kihwan Ko, along with other key developers introduced the game’s content and provided an in-depth look through gameplay footage.
HOYEON is an RPG where players select a team of five heroes from over 60 options. The game features rich PvE content based on MMO fields, including single and party boss battles with unique mechanics and patterns. Rather than focusing on a specific character, HOYEON emphasizes the growth and combination of various characters, suited for different content and bosses.
To enhance the player experience, HOYEON focuses on fast-paced content, avoiding long and repetitive playthroughs. It also features a level and equipment sharing system among heroes, designed to reduce the fatigue associated with leveling up multiple characters.
PLAY DAY also showed HOYEON’s actual gameplay with a game influencer alongside Captain Ko. This demonstrated key features of the game, ranging from the prologue to both single and multiplayer boss battles. It also introduced the hero acquisition system, the in-game store, the battle pass, and other major business models.
NCSOFT began pre-registration for HOYEON today. Players can pre-register at the official HOYEON website, Google Play, Apple App Store, and Samsung Galaxy Store. All participants will be rewarded with the Hero ‘Yunma Fei’ and have a chance to win a ‘Galaxy Z Fold 6 HOYEON Edition.’
