NCSOFT today announced a major update for its idle MMORPG Journey of Monarch, celebrating its first anniversary along with special in-game events.

Journey of Monarch has launched a new world, Lastavard, operated as a standalone world with the new Rebirth World concept. Progression and matchmaking for features such as Barracks and Arena are exclusive to this new world. New players will begin their journey in Lastavard, while access for existing players is limited.

The update also adds Ascension-grade Heroes, Magic Dolls, and Gears. Players can now upgrade Mythic-born Heroes and Magic Dolls to Ascension grade using 50 Mythic Awakening Stones. Ascension-grade gear can be obtained through level 65+ Dice rolls or by applying Ascension Upgrade Stones to fully enhanced Mythic set gear. Ascension Stones are available as rewards from Blood Pledge Dungeons.

The update introduces Nachal, a Mythic-grade, non-elemental ranged Hero. Nachal’s signature skill, Karma’s Mantra, silences enemies while boosting Damage Resistance Ignore for all allies.

A new Gear Option Transfer allows players to extract options from gears obtained through Dice and apply them to their equipped gear. This process re-rolls all stats and consumes Guardian’s Gear Fragments, which can be earned by clearing the Gear Option Extraction Dungeon.

To celebrate, NCSOFT is hosting several in-game events from December 3 at 5 AM to December 17 at 5 AM (KST). During this period, monster kill requirements for summoning bosses will be reduced by 75% in existing worlds and 50% in Lastavard.

Special first anniversary rewards are also available. Players who log in before December 17 at 5 AM will receive Dice Roll Tickets, Adena, Hero Summon Ticket, Magic Doll Summon Ticket, Command Skill Summon Ticket.
