NCSOFT today announced that its MMORPG Lineage 2M will be co-published in China by Tencent Games and Xiaoming Taiji.
Earlier this year, on October 25, Lineage 2M received a foreign publishing license for China through Xiaoming Taiji. Tencent Games and Xiaoming Taiji will collaborate to bring the game to Chinese players under the title ‘天堂2: 盟約’ (Translated to ‘Lineage 2 : Covenant’).
Today, Tencent Games launched the official website for Lineage 2M in China and outlined plans for the upcoming service. NCSOFT is actively collaborating with Tencent Games to localize the game for the Chinese market. Additional details, including the official release date, will be announced in due course.
The original IP of Lineage 2M, the PC MMORPG Lineage 2, was first introduced in China in 2004 and continues its live service to this day. Tencent Games has been responsible for the live service of Lineage 2 in China since 2012, highlighting its extensive experience with the franchise in the region.
