    NCSOFT Officially Launches Co-CEO Model Effective March 28th

    Taekjin Kim and Byungmoo Park were appointed as co-CEOs following the board meeting held on March 28.

    Under the new dual leadership, NCSOFT will focus on enhancing global gaming competitiveness, solidifying management fundamentals, and exploring new growth momentum.

    Co-CEOs Kim and Park said, “We are committed to advancing towards our goal of becoming a truly global game company by uniting as ‘One Team’ and realigning internal capabilities towards our shared goals.”

    PANGYO, Korea (March 28, 2024) – NCSOFT officially launched the co-CEO model, appointing Taekjin Kim and Byungmoo Park, following the board meeting held this afternoon on March 28.

     

    NCSOFT has shifted to a co-CEO structure for the first time since its foundation. This strategic decision aims to enhance global competitiveness and strengthen management fundamentals in the face of a growingly uncertain business environment. The adoption of dual leadership seeks to harness the unique expertise of each CEO and promote synergy as a unified ‘One Team’ to achieve shared objectives.

     

    Taekjin Kim will spearhead efforts to strengthen the company’s competitiveness in both game development and business domains. His primary focus will encompass advancing game development, fostering business growth, and cultivating robust business partnerships with global big tech companies.

     

    Byungmoo Park, drawing upon his extensive background and expertise, will prioritize realigning NCSOFT’s internal resources and capabilities to support sustainable growth. His efforts will center on strengthening management fundamentals, implementing robust systems, and exploring potential new avenues for future growth.

     

    With the combined expertise and synergy of both CEOs, NCSOFT will actively pursue investments and M&As to expand its range of game IPs and portfolios.
