NCSOFT today announced its consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2025.

NCSOFT reported quarterly revenue of KRW 360.3 billion, operating profit of KRW 5.2 billion, and net income of KRW 37.5 billion. Revenue declined 12% QoQ and 9% YoY. Operating profit and net income both returned to positive territory from the previous quarter but decreased by 80% and 34% YoY, respectively.

Regional sales recorded KRW 228.3 billion in Korea, KRW 56.1 billion in Asia, and KRW 30.9 billion in North America and Europe. Royalty sales reached KRW 45 billion, marking a 38% YoY increase. Overseas and royalty sales accounted for 37% of the total revenue. By platform, mobile games generated KRW 206.3 billion, while PC online games recorded KRW 83.3 billion.

NCSOFT also outlined its financial guidelines for the fiscal year 2026, setting a baseline revenue target of KRW 2 trillion. Driven by the ongoing expansion of its legacy IPs and the launch of new titles beginning in the second half of 2025, the growth is expected to reach up to KRW 2.5 trillion.

    Key strategic drivers include:

Expansion of Legacy IPs through major updates, regional service launches, and spin-off titles

Introduction of new IPs, including AION2, LLL, BREAKERS, and TIME TAKERS

As part of its marketing campaign, AION2 unveiled its new brand identity and official website on May 13. Additional details will be shared the game’s first livestream on May 29. AION2 is scheduled for release in the second half of 2025.

NCSOFT is actively building genre-specific development clusters through strategic investments both domestically and internationally, with an aim to strengthen its development capabilities and global reach. In 2024, NCSOFT completed equity and publishing-right investments in Moon Rover Games (Sweden), Virtual Alchemy (Poland), as well as Korean studios Mistil Games and VIC Game Studios. Most recently, on May 2, NC West—NCSOFT’s North American subsidiary—invested in a U.S.-based emptyvessel, a studio specializing in shooting games.
