NCSOFT today announced its consolidated financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2025.

NCSOFT reported quarterly revenue of KRW 382.4 billion, operating profit of KRW 15.1 billion, and a net loss of KRW 36.0 billion. Revenue and operating profit increased by 6% and 189% QoQ, respectively, and rose by 4% and 71% YoY. The net loss was primarily due to foreign exchange-related losses driven by currency fluctuations.

By region, sales totaled KRW 244.8 billion in Korea, KRW 69.1 billion in Asia, and KRW 26.2 billion in North America and Europe. Royalty sales reached KRW 42.3 billion. Overseas sales and royalties combined accounted for 36% of total revenue.

PC online game sales rose 10% QoQ to KRW 91.7 billion, driven by AION, which posted KRW 13.0 billion in sales—up 53% QoQ following the launch of a new server.

Mobile game sales grew 6% QoQ to KRW 219.0 billion, with Lineage 2M climbing 27% QoQ to KRW 48.0 billion following its service expansion into Southeast Asia.

AION 2, one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2025, is in its final stages of development. Following a Focus Group Test conducted in late June, the development team is enhancing game content based on test feedback. The title is scheduled for launch in the fourth quarter of 2025.

To further diversify its global game portfolio and secure new growth engines, NCSOFT recently established the Mobile Casual Division, expanding its industry-leading AI and data technological capabilities into the mobile casual games sector. The company is also scaling its large-scale MMO development capabilities, building dedicated development clusters for shooter and anime-style games, and establishing a strong foothold in the casual mobile gaming market.
