NCSOFT Secures New IPs Through Investments in Korean Game Studios

Expands global publishing footprint and development clusters through strategic investments in subculture and MMORPG specialists

Secures global publishing rights for Dynamis One’s subculture collective RPG

Acquires publishing rights for DEXA Studio’s Project R, leveraging NCSOFT’s MMORPG expertise to drive synergy

NCSOFT today announced strategic investments in two Korean game development studios, reinforcing its commitment to expanding global publishing capabilities and securing new IPs.

NCSOFT has invested in Dynamis One, a studio specializing in subculture games, and DEXA Studio, an MMORPG-focused developer. Both studios, founded in 2024 by veteran creators behind genre-defining hits, bring deep expertise and proven development capabilities in their respective fields.

Through these investments, NCSOFT has secured publishing rights to two upcoming titles currently in development, accelerating its global publishing strategy and strengthening its development clusters both domestically and internationally.

Dynamis One, a studio specializing in subculture genres, is currently developing Project AT as an original IP. Designed around the core themes of magic and governance, Project AT draws inspiration from the neo-legendary storytelling style popular in Japanese subculture. This project represents a new chapter for Dynamis One following the conclusion of its previous work. NCSOFT will handle publishing for Project AT both domestic and abroad, reinforcing its subculture-focused development cluster and further diversifying its game portfolio.

DEXA Studio is led by seasoned MMORPG developers with a proven history of success. The studio is currently working on a new IP, tentatively titled Project R, featuring high-quality graphics and action-oriented gameplay. NCSOFT will manage publishing—both domestic and abroad—for Project R, drawing on its extensive experience and long-standing expertise in MMORPG operations. By combining DEXA Studio’s development capabilities with NCSOFT’s MMO business strengths, the collaboration aims to maximize synergy for global success.

Byungmoo Park, CEO of NCSOFT, said, “These strategic investments highlight our commitment to partnering with talented developers who have demonstrated exceptional track records and execution. We will continue to invest across diverse genres to grow our global publishing competitiveness and expand our development clusters.”
