    ‘PURPLE’ by NCSOFT Expands into PC Game Distribution Business

    PURPLE is expanding into a fully-fledged gaming platform, marking the kickoff of the strategic partnership between NCSOFT and Sony Interactive Entertainment.

    PURPLE will sequentially unveil diverse global IP lineups, including Sony Interactive Entertainment’s ‘Horizon Forbidden West’ and ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered’

    Today at 4 PM, PURPLE begins the rollout of its new PC titles, celebrating with a range of discount promotions and engaging events.

    NCSOFT today announced the expansion of its online game platform, ‘PURPLE’, transforming it into a comprehensive gaming hub by integrating third-party title distribution into its offerings.

     

    Originally launched in 2019 as a cross-play service by NCSOFT, PURPLE is now expanding its service and evolving into a fully-fledged gaming platform. Starting at 4 PM (GMT/UTC+9) today, PURPLE will introduce a broad selection of third-party titles in addition to NCSOFT’s games.

     

    PURPLE’s first distribution partner will be Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). Korean players will have access to a diverse range of SIE’s acclaimed PC titles, including Horizon Forbidden West, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart through PURPLE.

     

    With the release of Horizon Forbidden West today, the above SIE titles will be added to the PURPLE Store one by one each week and will be available for play exclusively in Korea.

     

    This lineup marks the initial collaboration outcome of the global strategic partnership announced with SIE last November. NCSOFT is gearing up to introduce more third-party titles through PURPLE. Details regarding title lineups and release schedules will be revealed sequentially.

     

    In celebration of the new title launches, NCSOFT is offering a promotion on the four SIE titles coming to PURPLE, with discounts of up to 40% off. More detailed pricing information and the promotion schedule can be found on PURPLE’s official website.

     

    PURPLE is also hosting the ‘PURPLE Store Game Review Challenge’ event. Players who leave their reviews on the new titles’ pages on PURPLE and verify them on the Community Board will have a chance to win prizes. Twenty lucky winners for each title will receive 30,000 NAVER Pay Points each.

     

    PURPLE players can also participate in the ‘PURPLE Spread the Word’ social media event. By sharing the PURPLE launch brand page on their social media channels using the provided button, a total of 300 winners will receive 10,000 NAVER Pay points as a giveaway.
