Producer Jongok Ahn unveiled new boss monsters, expansive open-world, and party-based instanced dungeons that were not part of the last Beta Test.
NCSOFT will dedicate an opportunity to address player inquiries posted on the ‘Message to TL’ board on the official website.
NCSOFT, a global premier developer and publisher, unveiled THRONE AND LIBERTY’s (hereafter TL) new additional in-game content in the second Producer’s Letter posted on the official website today.
In the Letter, Jongok Ahn, lead producer of TL, presented the details of two boss monsters that offer an immersive sense of control and that players can attack by utilizing the shifting environments. He also went on to introduce three distinct regions in TL’s vast open world and six-player party instanced dungeons.
The boss monsters that Producer Ahn introduced were ‘Malakar’ and ‘Archboss Tevent’:
Malakar summons its duplicate to engage in combat. Attacking Malakar will stimulate the sense of control players can enjoy by, for instance, avoiding the exploding duplicate and disrupting the energy transmission from the duplicate to Malaka.
The Archboss Tevent is a monster in which players can strategically utilize TL’s interactive features with shifting environments. For instance, Tevent’s curses can be purified with water, which makes it easier to attack on rainy days within the game.
TL’s additional expansive and seamless open world has also been revealed. In the Letter, players can check out the concept art for the Orc’s valley ‘Fonos Valley,’ the night where beasts inhabit ‘Greyclaw Forest,’ and the forbidden area ‘Saurodoma Island.’ Players will be able to explore these massive regions and defeat the monsters, delving into TL’s universe.
Producer Ahn introduced the party-based instanced dungeon, highlighting that “The development team is focusing on the balance and blend of contents to ensure that players of all playstyles can enjoy TL with a spirit of challenge.” The party instanced dungeon is where six players cooperate and attack together, and it is divided into the ‘Passage Section’ and the ‘Boss Section’:
In the ‘Passage Section’, players will engage in interactions with various elements of the world, just like solving puzzles.
The ‘Boss Section’ appears at the end of the Passage Section. It will require players to make use of TL-specific features, such as weapon combinations, to engage in strategic gameplay. Large-scale, powerful boss monsters will appear to fight against.
At the end of the Letter, Producer Ahn said, “We are eager to dedicate some time to provide clear answers to questions that players are curious about.” Players are encouraged to leave their questions about new content and development directions on the ‘Message to TL’ board on the official website.
On September 12, NCSOFT posted the first Producer’s Letter and unveiled the current development status. By addressing players’ feedback, TL has removed auto-combat and auto-travel. It also explained the control-focused combat system and the fast and diverse progression system.
