    THRONE AND LIBERTY Reveals Plans for Major Update, ‘The Leap’

    NCSOFT presented upcoming update details and gathered user feedback at the recent offline user conference, ‘TL MEET UP’.

    The core update includes combat expansion and enhanced progression along with new region ‘Talandre’ arriving in August.

    In July, ‘Hyper Boosting’ server will open and offer benefits and accelerated character progression for new and returning users.

    NCSOFT has announced a major update roadmap and plans for its latest MMORPG, THRONE AND LIBERTY (TL).

     

    NCSOFT hosted an offline user conference, ‘TL MEET UP’, on June 22 at NCSOFT R&D Center in Pangyo. During the event, detailed plans for the major update ‘The Leap’ were revealed, along with a teaser video for the new region ‘Talandre’. The conference lasted over four hours and included an ‘Unlimited Q&A’ session where player suggestions and live inquiries were addressed. NCSOFT plans to actively incorporate the feedback received during the event to improve the user experience.

     

    The ‘The Leap’ update focuses on expanding combat through customizable features such as ‘Skill Specialization,’ enhancing the character progression with new dynamics, and introducing the new region ‘Talandre’ with extensive contents. These new features will be rolled out sequentially starting from July 24.

     

    NCSOFT will update ‘Skill Specialization’ system, allowing players to customize weapon skills with up to five specialties to create unique combinations. Specialization points will be distributed equally based on character level.

     

    Various updates will follow to further enhance character growth experience. The normal difficulty of six-person party dungeons will be eased to increase the chances of acquiring equipment. The ‘Challenge Dimenstion’, consisting a total of 30 stages, will be added, allowing players to select dungeons suited to various stages of growth. Additional updates aimed at enriching the character progression will be include:

    Random Trait Change’ for equipment, allowing random alterations to equipment traits

    Rune and Socket to boost character stats by inserting runes into equipment slots

    ‘Gemstones obtainable in field dungeons, granting unique effects to skills

    Talistones providing additional character’s stats

    Lifestyle content such as fishing, cooking, and the Amitoi expedition, along with new costume updates, will also be arriving soon.

     

    On August 21, NCSOFT will introduce the new region, Talandre. Players can explore new content including an increased maximum level up to 55, six locations, three field dungeons, four world bosses, two arch-bosses, five cooperative dungeons, and new second tier equipment and accessories.

     

    TL will launch a ‘Hyper Boosting’ server for four weeks starting from July 24, offering new and returning players various benefits for accelerated progression. After the server closes, players will be able to transfer their characters to another server of their choice.
