NCSOFT and Amazon Games have launched the Global Open Beta Test for their latest MMORPG, THRONE AND LIBERTY (TL), on July 18.

According to SteamDB, TL recorded a peak of 61,154 concurrent user count on the first day of the Open Beta. Despite being the initial public test, it attracted the highest number of players among MMORPGs available on Steam as of July 18. NCSOFT plans to integrate player feedback from the Open Besa into the global launch version.

The Open Beta will continue through July 23 in Amazon Games’ service regions, including North and South America, Europe, and Asia Pacific (Japan, New Zealand, and Australia). Players can participate via PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 (PS5), and Xbox Series S|X.

TL is adopting a more user-friendly approach in its business model, allowing a broader player base to fully experience the value and benefits of the Battle Pass. Both domestic and international TL players will be able to purchase ‘Battle Pass Premium’ and ‘Premium Leveling Log’ with the in-game currency, Lucent. This new business model will launch in Korea on August 21 and will be consistently applied across all global services.
