NCSOFT today announced that its MMORPG, THRONE AND LIBERTY (TL, developed by FirstSpark Games) will expand its global Steam service to Asia, including Korea and Taiwan, alongside a major upcoming update.
Starting September 18, players in Region 1 (Korea and Taiwan) will gain access to the TL global version operated by Amazon Games on Steam. The global version will support Korean voice and text, as well as Traditional Chinese text. The existing Region 1 service on NCSOFT’s PURPLE platform will continue to run independently.
Originally launched on PURPLE in Region 1 in December 2023, TL began global service in October 2024 through its publishing partner Amazon Games across North, Central, and South America, Europe, Oceania, and Japan.
Moonyoung Choi, CEO of FirstSpark Games, said, “We are excited to open the global version to Region 1 players in direct response to their requests to play alongside the worldwide community. Both the global and Region 1 services will continue to run smoothly and independently.”
