“We will deliver an optimized gameplay experience tailored to the expectations and feedback of local players gathered throughout testing.”

NC today announced that THRONE AND LIBERTY (TL), developed by FirstSpark Games, will officially expand service to Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia beginning May 19.

The launch will cover 11 countries, including Eastern European markets of Georgia, Moldova, Belarus, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, as well as the Central Asian countries of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

Ahead of launch, a Closed Beta Test (CBT) was conducted from April 21 to 28 across the target regions, drawing strong interest from local players. The test focused on evaluating technical stability for large-scale content such as siege warfare, as well as server optimization.

NC and its regional publishing partner Astrum Entertainment will incorporate player feedback gathered during the test ahead of the official launch, with a focus on improving localization quality, sound optimization, and UI visibility.

Astrum Entertainment is one of Russia’s leading game developers and publishers, with extensive experience operating Korean MMORPGs across Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.

"NC has built one of the industry’s strongest track records in MMORPG development and live service operations," said Tony Watkins, CEO of Astrum Entertainment. "We are thrilled to collaborate with NC, a company that set the standard for the MMORPG genre for many years."

"Launching TL in new regions marks another important milestone for a game played by so many players around the world," said Moonyoung Choi, CEO of FirstSpark Games. "We will deliver an optimized gameplay experience tailored to the expectations and feedback of local players gathered throughout testing."

FirstSpark Games launched TL in Korea, Taiwan, and other Asian regions in December 2023, followed by an expanded rollout to North America, Central and South America, Europe, Oceania, and Japan in October 2024. Following its global launch, TL recorded a peak concurrent player count of over 330,000 on Steam and reached the #1 spot on Steam's Top Sellers chart.
