PANGYO, Korea (June 15, 2026) – NC announced details of upcoming content updates and player-focused initiatives for its MMORPG AION 2 at the AION2 SUMMER FESTA showcase held on June 14.

NC hosted the AION 2 SUMMER FESTA showcase at a hotel in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, inviting 150 players to preview upcoming content and the game’s collaboration with K-pop group, fromis_9. Following a special performance by the group, the development team presented AION 2’s update roadmap and engaged directly with players.

Starting June 17, AION 2 will launch its collaboration with fromis_9, releasing themed costumes, weapons, pets, and wings inspired by the group. Players who equip a complete cosmetic set will be able to transform into individual fromis_9 members. The collaboration also adds a new emote featuring dance moves synchronized to fromis_9’s song “LIKE YOU BETTER”, along with a feature that allows nearby players to join in.

On July 1, AION 2 will release its first major content update, Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow. New content includes the Brawler class, new regions Eltnen and Morheim, Expedition, Transcendence, and Sanctuary dungeons, Chaotic Upper Reshanta, Spacetime Rift: Domination, Battlefield: Siege, and Outlands.

New regions Eltnen and Morheim will be added to the Elyos and Asmodian territories, respectively. Players will also gain access to 20 new Sealed Dungeons and six new Strongholds across the two regions..

AION 2 will significantly expand its dungeon content. New Expedition dungeons, Citadel of the Fallen Daeva and Consumed Deus Research Base, will be released, along with an Expedition: Ordeal mode that allows players to customize and challenge their own difficulty levels. The Transcendence dungeons, Noiran's Hidden Legacy and Abyssal Horn Den, as well as the Sanctuary dungeon, Snowfield of Sorrow, will also be updated.

NC also announced several gameplay improvements based on player feedback. Membership offerings will be consolidated into a single tier with a reduced subscription price. Special-grade costumes and pets will become sharable across the entire server, while Auto-Loot feature will be made available for all pets to improve gameplay convenience.

To support new players, NC will introduce a dedicated growth support system and Daeva Express, a feature that instantly completes Strongholds, Sealed Dungeons, and Empyrean Trace progression. The update will also add a Sprout Badge that rewards players with Odyle Energy when participating in dungeon content along ide new or returning players.

To celebrate the event, NC is offering special in-game rewards. All players will receive Pet: 2 via in-game mail. In addition, players who redeem the coupon code AION2CHAPTERONE will receive various rewards, including Odyle Energy, Resurrection Spiritstones, and Unknown Fissure Challenge Ticket.
