NC today announce a new update for its MMORPG, headlined by the addition of the new Santuary dungeon, Chalice of Muspel.

Chalice of Muspel is the most challenging PvE dungeon in AION 2. Set within an ancient temple submerged beneath lava deep inside the the Muspel volcano, the dungeon has resurfaced following intense seismic activity.

Players who defeat the dungeon’s boss monster, Scourage Kaldrix, can earn new rewards including the Lava Heart Weapon (Extend), Lava Heart Barrier, and Kaldrix Brooch. The first players to clear the dungeon will also receive the exclusive Pet: Red Dragon reward. Entry to Chalice of Muspel requires a minimum item level of 4,500, with unlimited attempts permitted within the designated time limit.

The update also introduces two new craftable equipment sets: Genesis/Nemesis Dragon Lord Weapon and Genesis/Nemesis Dragon Lord Guard. The new equipment can only be obtained through Transfer Crafting and comes with six base Soul Inscription options. In addition, Philosopher's Stone: Power (Bound), which enables Soul Binding for Genesis/Nemesis Dragon Lord equipment and other gear, has been added.

A range of changes will be applied to the Abyss PvP Battlefield. A new island area accessible via Updrafts within the Middle Reshanta will arrive, where player location will no longer appear on the minimap. Stats for Abyss boss monsters and Artifacts will be increased. New equipment—Archon Praetorian Captain Weapon/Guard and Elite Archon Praetorian Captain Weapon—will also be added and made available through the Abyss shop and Transfer Crafting.

Additional system updates are designed to further support character progression. The stat caps for Might, Dexterity, Precision, Willpower, Intelligence, and Constitution will increase to 250, while the maximum obtainable values for Attack Boost and Defense Boost will rise to 130%. The Wings Enhance System, which allows players to enhance their wings for additional stats, will also be introduced.

To celebrate the update, NC will run the Spark of Resurrection event through the June 10 maintenance. During the event period, players can purchase up to 20 Resurrection Spiritstone (Bound) per week from Wind Breeze Merchants using Kina (in-game currency).
