NCSOFT today announced a seed round investment of USD 3.5 million (approximately KRW 4.8 billion) in Swedish game studio, Moon Rover Games.

Moon Rover Games, founded by a veteran team of FPS experts, is currently developing an ambitious co-op FPS codenamed Project Aldous.

Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Moon Rover Games was founded in 2022 by a veteran team of shooter game experts. The founding members, all former EA DICE developers, bring extensive experience from globally renowned FPS franchises, such as ‘Battlefield,’ ‘Far Cry,’ and ‘Tom Clancy’s The Division.’

The studio is currently developing an ambitious cooperative FPS, codenamed ‘Project Aldous,’ based on original IP for both PC and consoles.

NCSOFT is the sole investor in this seed round, providing the initial capital for the early stages of Project Aldous’ development. The company will seek to drive continued growth with Moon Rover Games throughout the project’s development.

NCSOFT is currently focused on investing in both domestic and overseas companies and securing publishing rights to expand its game portfolio and global market presence. The company plans to further broaden its geographical footprint and diversify genres and platforms to drive future growth. Additionally, NCSOFT is continuously reviewing M&A opportunities to enhance growth and profitability.
