NCSOFT today announced its consolidated financial results for the second quarter ending June 30, 2024.

NCSOFT reported consolidated revenue of KRW 368.9 billion for the quarter, operating profit of KRW 8.8 billion, and net income of KRW 71.1 billion.

The quarterly revenue and operating profit declined by 7% and 66% QoQ, and 16% and 75% YoY, respectively. Net income increased by 24% QoQ and 133% YoY.

Regional sales posted KRW 240.3 billion in Korea, KRW 56.9 billion in Asia, and KRW 33.9 billion in North America and Europe. Royalty sales reached KRW 37.7 billion, marking a 15% increase from the previous quarter, largely driven by the Blade & Soul Neo Classic server update in China. Overseas sales, including royalties, comprised 35% of total revenue.

Quarterly mobile game sales totaled KRW 218.2 billion, reflecting a 13% decrease QoQ. PC online game sales witnessed a 6% drop QoQ, reaching KRW 86.2 billion. The seventh anniversary update and the launch of ‘Reboot World’ for Lineage M significantly boosted its user metrics, which continue to remain stable.

On August 28, the switching RPG HOYEON is set to launch in Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. The global release of THRONE AND LIBERTY in partnership with Amazon Games is also approaching. Additionally, the global expansion efforts are underway with Blade & Soul 2 in China and Lineage 2M in Southeast Asia.

NCSOFT is committed to diversifying its game portfolio through strategic investments, with a focus on expanding into shooting and subculture genres to further strengthen its global presence. Recently, NCSOFT completed a seed round investment in Moon Rover Games, a Swedish studio specializing shooting games, and invested in and acquired publishing rights with VIC GAME STUDIOS, a Korean developer known for subculture games. Going forward, NCSOFT will actively pursue additional investment opportunities to further drive business diversification.
