AION 2 Rolls Out 'Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow' Update

New front-line combat class Brawler arrives, with one free character slot for all players

New dungeons Citadel of the Fallen Daeva and Abyssal Horn Den unveiled, alongside system changes including expanded party sizes

New and returning player support includes the Sprout Badge and accelerated progression packages

NC today launched a major update for its MMORPG AION 2, Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow.

Players can now play the newly added Brawler class. Using its dedicated weapon, the Gauntlets, the Brawler specializes in front-line attacks and combo-based charges. Basic attacks and active skills generate Rage, and reaching a certain Rage gauge triggers a Rampage state. To celebrate the new class, NC is providing one free character slot to all players.

Character progression has also been expanded. The level cap has increased to 50, while Stigma skills can now be enhanced up to level 25. New regions, Morheim for the Askmodians and Eltnen for the Eloys, have been added alongside Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds, and Monoliths where players can earn rewards needed for progression. New Pendant equipment, as well as Hero-grade Amulets and Belts, has also been introduced.

The new Expedition dungeon Citadel of the Fallen Daeva and Transcendence dungeon Abyssal Horn Den have been unveiled. Both require level 50 and a minimum item level of 3,500, with higher difficulties requiring progressively higher item levels.

New systems have been introduced to dungeon content. Players can now ride pets even inside dungeons. Tickets previously required to enter Expedition and Transcendence dungeons have been removed, with rewards now obtainable through Odyle Energy. Party sizes have also been expanded, increasing to five players for Expedition and Transcendence dungeons and 10 players for Sanctuary dungeons.

Changes have also been applied to AION 2's solo dungeons, Nightmare and Ascension Trial. Players can encounter new bosses in Nightmare Layer IV. Clearing a specific stage grants the combined rewards of all preceding stages. A Doom difficulty for Ascension Trial, accessible from item level 4,000, has also been added.

AION 2 has significantly strengthened its PvP content with the release of Chaotic Upper Reshanta and Battlefield: Siege. Chaotic Upper Reshanta is a zone where item level and combat power are capped, and no bosses or Artifacts appear. Battlefield: Siege is a mode where players capture a total of three zones to earn points, with all teams starting under identical conditions.

To help players jump into the new content, NC has introduced several support programs for new and returning players. A Sprout Badge is granted to new players, as well as returning players after at least 28 days of inactivity who log in on or after June 14. Existing players who enjoy Expedition, Transcendence, and Sanctuary dungeon content, together with the badge-holders, receive 50% of the Odyle Energy used by the Sprout player. The Sprout Badge remains active for up to 30 days or until the player reaches the designated combat power and item level requirements.

Returning players can also accelerate their progression through four optional support packages available. Players can purchase a token from the shop and activate the following:

    • Exciting First Step: Provides equipment and completes Strongholds, Sealed Dungeons, and Empyrean Trace content all at once

    • Taking Flight: Enables players to quickly reach around 300K combat power

    • New World Explorer: Provides growth materials such as Sync Stones and cosmetic boxes

    • Slow But Steady: Offers various currencies—including Enhance Stones, Potential Stones, and Soul Crystals—through repeatable missions
