NCSOFT announced its plan for a corporate split-off of two divisions: the QA service division and the application software development & supply division.
Today, NCSOFT’s board of directors approved a corporate split-off to establish two new wholly-owned entities.
NCSOFT aims to implement a swift and specialized decision-making system within each division, thereby strengthening its core competencies. By focusing resources on specialized areas, NCSOFT plans to achieve significant advancements in business operations, ultimately enhancing the corporate and shareholder value.
The new subsidiaries, ‘NC QA COMPANY’ and ‘NC IDS COMPANY’, will operate as unlisted entities.
NC QA will specialize in Quality Assurance (QA) services, encompassing software quality assurance, computer programming, system integration & management, and IT operations.
NC IDS will focus on application software development and supply, along with computer system integration consulting, system software development, and related services.
On August 14, NCSOFT will convene an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders to finalize the corporate split-off and establish the new companies. The two new entities will officially be established on October 1.
