Floating eyes are sphere-shaped monsters that mostly float around in the air. They are depicted in various ways, including a giant single eye, a cluster of many eyes, or a one-eyed monster.
Animation 〈Monsters, Inc.〉 (2001), 〈Monsters University〉 (2013): Michael ‘Mike’ Wazowski, the protagonist is a floating eye: he has a green, sphere-shaped body with a giant single eye.
Game 〈Dungeons & Dragons (D&D)〉 series: “Beholders” have a big eye at the center of body, and eyes are attached to the multiple tentacles growing from the edge of the eye. Also, sharp teeth are grown out from a giant mouth.
Comic book 〈Fullmetal Alchemist〉: The Dwarf in the Flaskフラスコの中の小人 is an one-eyed living creature in the form of black gas inside the flask.
Floating eyes whose entire body is composed of a sphere-shaped eye appear in Lineage series. Beholders with four tentacles having a small eye in the end of four tentacles could be discovered in 〈Lineage Remaster〉 and 〈Lineage M〉.
